Religious School

Our Religious School partners with each family to gain the tools and instruction for living a Jewish life through the study of Hebrew, integration with Jewish culture and education of Jewish beliefs and practices. The Rabbi, Religious School Director, Religious School Committee and the Board of Trustees have established a set of guidelines to insure each Religious School child has a positive, meaningful Religious School experience. In addition, Congregation Children of Israel currently pairs with the Institute for Southern Jewish LIfe (ISJL) for our curriculum. As part of this partnership, we have an Educational Fellow visit three times a year to provide programming and guidance with our curriculum.

Rabbi Linder has created audio files that correspond to the prayers that we recite and sing on Shabbat. The prayers are in two folders: Friday night and Saturday morning. They are named according to the name of the prayer and the accompanying page number in our siddur, Mishkan T’fillah. These can be learned together with parents! Click here to download the zip file containing all of the audio recordings of the prayers.
